Contagious Passenger Discovered On Delta Flight With Coronavirus
A Delta Airlines passenger onboard a flight departing from JFK at 4:05 p.m. on Saturday and arriving in Rochester at 5:55 p.m., has tested positive for coronavirus and is believed to have been contagious.
“This evening, we learned about an individual who tested positive for Covid-19. We believe this individual was contagious while en route from JFK to ROC on Delta 4824 on March 14,” the department tweeted.
The Health Department is urging anyone who was on board the same flight to monitor themselves and call health professionals if they exhibit any symptoms, which can include cough, fever, chills and other symptoms. However, some contagious people may not exhibit any symptoms at all.

“With regard to reports of any Covid-19 exposure, we continue to follow all guidelines from the CDC and local health officials,” Delta said to CNN. “The safety and health of our customers and crew remain our top priority.”
Another Delta flight had to be grounded after passengers feard that someone may have contracted the coronavirus.
“Customers on Delta flight 2503 returned to the JFK terminal Monday after a customer shared they may have been previously exposed to coronavirus, and our aviation medical consultants recommended the customer be evaluated,” a Delta spokesperson told The Sun.
