Conservative Show Host Rush Limbaugh Passes Away At 70

Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, known for his work shaping the Republican party, has passed away from complications due to lung cancer. He was 70.

The news of his death was announced at the beginning of Wednesday’s Rush Limbaugh Show.

Last February, he revealed that he was battling advanced lung cancer as a result of his smoking, and had begun treatment. Despite his illness, he continued to host his show.

The radio host previously said it was hard for him to reveal the news due to keeping his personal life private.

“I’m sure that you all know by now that I really don’t like talking about myself and I don’t like making things about me. I like this program to be about you and the things that matter to all of us. I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.”

“I wasn’t expected to be alive today,” he said. “I wasn’t expected to make it to October, and then to November, and then to December. And yet, here I am, and today, got some problems, but I’m feeling pretty good today.”

Limbaugh was a die-hard Republican conservative and strong supporter of Donald Trump. He fought with the former President to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
