Connecticut Man Arrested After Breaking In & Quarantining Himself Inside Restaurant

A Connecticut man was arrested after shamelessly quarantining himself inside of a restaurant, and binging on thousands of dollars worth of food and liquor.

On Tuesday (April 14), New Haven police arrested 42-year-old Louis Angel Ortiz after he allegedly pillaged downtown’s Soul De Cube Café, including going through about 70 bottles of liquor. Officials say he broke in on Saturday through a side window.

They add, “Officers learned Ortiz helped himself over the course of four days to the restaurant’s food, liquor and beer. In addition to eating and drinking at the restaurant, Ortiz removed beverages and property from the building.” Officials charged Ortiz with burglary, larceny and criminal mischief. He was also hit with failure to appear in court on an unrelated case.

It’s said the he was discovered by a manager, who stopped by the closed Cuban restaurant and saw someone sleeping inside with a bottle or rum in-hand.
