Rita Ora is a married woman after tying the knot with Hollywood filmmaker Taika Waititi, according to a report. The Sun revealed that the pair got hitched in an intimate wedding ceremony held in London on Monday with their closest friends and family members in attendance. “It was a really intimate ceremony and super special for everyone there,” an insider told the publication of the couple’s big day.

“Their nearest and dearest can see how madly in love they are.” It was Ora who opted for a small ceremony because she wanted to keep the event as private as possible, the insider continued, though there’s a “big showbiz-style bash” planned for their famous friends who weren’t able to attend the nuptials in London.

While it’s unclear how long the pair have been dating prior to tying the knot, they were first spotted making out together in May 2021 during their trip to Sydney, Australia, when they were photographed being joined by actress Tessa Thompson for the steamy makeout session in snaps that went viral on social media.

Responding to the photos of him locking lips with Ora and Thompson, Waititi told the Sydney Morning Herald, “I think in the world of the internet, everything goes away pretty quick. And also, ‘Is it that big a deal?’ No, not really. I was doing nothing wrong. It’s fine.”

Waititi is perhaps one of the top filmmakers in Hollywood, who is known for directing the “Thor” movies on top of flicks such as “JoJo Rabbit,” “Hunt for the Wilderpeople,” and “What We Do in the Shadows.”

Ora and Waititi were said to have gotten engaged last month when they reportedly made “simultaneous” wedding proposals to one another, per The Sun, who had already revealed at the time that their nuptials were right around the corner, but the couple was keeping thing as low-key as possible.

The “Body On Me” singer didn’t even mention her engagement on social media, nor has she addressed her wedding to her significant other to fans. Clearly, she’s smitten by her beau and wants to keep the relationship out of the limelight as much as she can — a completely different approach from her previous relationships.

“This isn’t about them doing a big showy thing and crowing about it beforehand,” the source explained. “It’s just about them being in love and deciding the time is right to formalize their relationship.

Ora has been linked to a few men in the industry in the past, including Calvin Harris and Bruno Mars. She was also linked to Rob Kardashian in 2012 but was later accused of cheating on him, the reality star claimed, which fans believed had led him into depression and subsequently began struggling with his weight gain.
