Yass! Evelyn Lozada is going to be a wife again! The former Basketball wives star is engaged to Lavon Lewis, who she met on Peacock’s Queens Court.
According to an exclusive report by People, Lozada has been engaged since last year. The news site notes that Lewis popped the question on her birthday in December at a small gathering in Los Angeles where she was surrounded by her close friends and family members.

Lewis, who is a marketing firm cofounder, said, “The thing about Evelyn is, it is very hard to surprise her. I told her to pack her bags, we’re going somewhere. She was blindfolded until she got to the front door. She walked into about 20 close friends and family and the big ‘marry me’ letters, roses on the ground, things like that.”
Speaking on her big moment, Lozada, who accepted the proposal, recalled not knowing “he was going to propose that day.” She added, “I didn’t know what I was walking into. He was being very sneaky and, in all honesty, I was a little irritated because I’m such an alpha female and I’m kind of like, why do I have to pack? Why do I have to do this? It was really, really difficult for me to just let go and allow him to do his thing.”
Ultimately, she loved every moment even down to the ring. “It was the perfect size and shape,” she added. “I’ve never had that stone, so he did a really, really good job. But I’m not surprised. Lavon is a creative mind and he doesn’t forget anything.”

As we previously reported, Lozada was briefly married to NFL player Chad “OchoCino” Johnson in 2012. Their relationship came to an end following an altercation where he was arrested for domestic battery on August 11, 2012, when he headbutted Lozada during an argument, causing a massive bloody gash. Johnson was later cut from the Miami Dolphins as a result of the alleged fight.
Despite the traumatic incident, Lozada still had hope of finding love again. During a 2013 interview with Celebuzz, she shared that she desired to be married despite her 41-day failed marriage to her ex.
“I still want to be a mother, I still want to have other children, I still want to get married and have a family. Only this time, instead of me choosing, I’m going to allow God to choose whomever for me.”
Evelyn Lozada has been in other high-profile relationships, one of which was with former MLB star Carl Crawford. They were engaged in 2013 and later welcomed a son together. However, the reality star and Crawford split over cheating allegations and decide to just focus on family, fitness, and her career.
Evelyn Lozada is also a mother to daughter Shaniece Hairston, 29, who she shares with Jamal Hairston.
