Chaos erupted during Travis Scott’s concert in Melbourne on Wednesday, leaving at several people injured.
According to reports, over 55,000 fans packed into the Marvel Stadium for the second night of the rapper’s Circus Maximus tour. Clips shared online show the moment a swarm of crazed fans attempted to jump the barriers from a seated section of the stadium to rush toward the mosh pit. Security guards can be seen tripping and body slamming some fans.
One fan was reportedly fly-kicked by a security guard and subsequently suffered a seizure. The violent clash has since gone viral on social media. 9News reports that the young man was treated by St John Ambulance. The news outlet also notes that he was one of five fans taken to the hospital from the concert that night.
“While most [fans] behaved appropriately, some were denied entry or ejected for misconduct,” said Marvel Stadium spokesperson Jay Allen. He added that there was a post-event debrief with security contractors following the incident. No arrests were made.
