In July 2022, Andrea Serrano,31, was arrested for sexual assault on a child, and her charges were reduced in February to incest after she accepted a plea deal. The plea deal included ten years to life on a sex offender supervised probation without jail time, but an El Paso County judge gave her 90 days in jail despite the previous plea agreement, as reported by PEOPLE.
The victim’s mother requested to put Serrano behind bars as there were no apparent consequences for her crime.”It sets a bad example for the community. … There are no consequences.
