Coachella 2020 Reportedly Cancelled
If you were looking forward to celebrating Coachella this fall, it might not be happening as the festival has reportedly been canceled for 2020.
According to Billboard, after initially rescheduling its April dates to October amidst the Coronavirus, the festival may have to cancel altogether in 2020 due to layoffs.
Goldenvoice which is the parent company of AEG had to lay off 15% of its staff, and initiate pay cuts. In a memo obtained by Billboard, it said that “clear” live events like Coachella would not resume until 2021.

“When we are able to reopen, it will take time until we see our fans, partners and sponsors fully return,” says AEG CEO Dan Beckerman.
Per the memo, Coachella 2021 could return as a smaller event in April 2021, or back to its normal capacity in October 2021, the memo read. It is not clear if refunds or ticket transfers will be issued for the coming year.
