Clay Gravesande is setting the record straight about his recent viral moment with Celina Powell.
While appearing on the ‘Rory And Mal’ podcast, the ‘Love Is Blind’ season 6 star opened up about what really went down between him and the Onlyfans model. Of course Clay’s name began to trend on X a few days ago after the internet noticed he was boo’d up with Powell on social media. But during his recent interview, he made it clear that they only linked up to do “Tik Tok’s” and he admitted that he didn’t know a lot about Celina Powell’s character. While opening up about the topic, Clay also admitted that he didn’t have sex with her, their relationship was only based on making content together.
As we previously shared, Powell appeared in a TikTok video posted laid in bed with Clay, hinting at a romantic relationship between them. She has faced controversy in the past for her connections to well-known hip-hop artists. The videos show her cuddling and kissing Gravesande in a series of clips.
Fans were left confused after Clay made several media appearances discussing his therapy sessions to address childhood trauma, a topic he had openly shared about on the reality dating show. Revealing that his father used to take him on outings to cheat on his mother, Clay’s struggles with fidelity and commitment were highlighted. Some online users speculated that Clay’s relationship with Powell suggested insincerity in his emotional journey on the show, suspecting that he may have joined the program for fame. Additionally, some believe that Clay’s connection with Powell indicates that another contestant, AD, was not his preferred choice, possibly explaining his decision to reject her at the altar.
Social users swiftly shared the news of Gravesande’s new relationship with his mother, Margarita Gravesande, who is active on Instagram. Margarita gained unexpected attention on the show when she confronted Clay’s father in one of the final episodes, addressing how he had mistreated her during their marriage and the resulting trauma that affected their son.
In a now deleted Instagram post, Clay’s mom shared, “First, my #1 rule for folks following me on social media. Don’t send me any inappropriate videos…Second, I didn’t know who CP was until everyone started sending me her youtube information,” she wrote before sharing the vomiting emoji. “it’s very interesting that some men will lose everything thinking that the apple is good but its a forbidden choice (do better). Which led Clay to respond by saying, “Heard you mom… my apologies,” with a red heart emoji.
