Those who have followed Rihanna during her savage Twitter days know she is not someone to be played with online. Unfortunately for a few individuals, they had to be reminded of this the hard way.
To keep you up to speed, Rihanna posted a video on Monday urging her fans to get out and vote, as the Barbados-born singer is unable to participate herself. In a lighthearted moment, she joked that she would be using her son’s passport to vote. She also captioned her post, “When protecting pu**ies and firing pu**ies can happen all in one vote #votecauseicant #TanSuitSeason.”
While many were pleased to see Rihanna speaking out during this election and cheering on Kamala Harris, others were not so supportive of her bold stance. However, RiRi not only had the time and energy to clap back at trolls but also to take on a “Karen” and a Trump supporter in her comment section.
One person commented, “Illegal voting is a crime. Maybe she should be arrested for trying.” Rihanna replied, “shut up Karen.” Another internet troll claimed, “I voted for closed borders, deportations, and staying out of foreign conflicts. Abortions are probably nowhere near as important as y’all are making it seen,” to which Rihanna responded, “you’re f*cked! And so is the America you dream of. Hope you don’t have to find out the hard way.”
That wasn’t all! Another user shared an extensive comment that read, “Wanting to secure the border is akin to shutting the door to your home. It’s not even a locked door, it’s simply shut. All you gotta do is open it & walk in. There is a right & a wrong way to come inside. The people who are against having a secure border are essentially saying it’s okay to break a window & enter in that way. I’m sorry this is such a foreign concept for so many but it really stems from a lack of education. America is the land of the free, & that is still true. ‘Enter ye you huddled masses’ is proof that the invitation still stands. All we ask is that you use the damn door. Why are so many against that? Y’all wildin. This is exactly why celebrities shouldn’t be posting their political opinions. How’re you gonna misguide you fans? Stick to music SIS.”
In a subtle yet stinging reply, Rihanna shot back, “Where were you on Jan 6 sis? Stick to your discounted crotch. We out here fighting for its rights!” Whew!

Why Can’t Rihanna Vote?
If you didn’t know, Rihanna’s two sons, RZA and Riot Rose, whom she shares with rapper A$AP Rocky, are U.S. citizens. However, she remains a citizen of Barbados, having moved to the U.S. in 2005 without changing her citizenship.
Despite her ineligibility to vote, the icon has always leveraged her influence to educate U.S. voters.
