Chris Watts Is “Triggered” By Netflix Documentary That Details Grisly Murders Of Pregnant Wife & Daughters

Infamous family killer Chris Watts is reportedly triggered by the new Netflix documentary ‘American Murder: The Family Next Door.’

The explosive documentary details the moments leading up to, and after Watts killed his pregnant wife, Shannan and his two daughters, Cece and Bella. Perhaps, he should have been ‘triggered,’ when his little girl screamed “no daddy,” before he smothered her.

“He can’t see it, and he’ll probably never see it,” a source tells PEOPLE. “He’s curious about it, but he hates even knowing that his texts are out there for the public to read. It brings back awful memories of 2018 for him.”

“There’s a lot of curiosity about him in prison,” added the source. “He’s the most high-profile inmate and what he did is incomprehensible, so everyone wants to know more about the case.”

“He hates it. It makes him feel a lot of shame. But he also knows that he brought it upon himself.”

On August 13, 2018, Watts murdered Shannan and his two daughters, who he then took to his job-site to dump their bodies. Watts was done with the marriage and was having an affair with a coworker called Nichol Kessinger, who thought he was in the process of getting a divorce.
