Former Hong Kong School of Public Health researcher Dr. Li-Meng Yan posted the report on the website Zenote which reveals how the novel coronavirus was created at the lab within six months. The 26-page report titled “Unusual Features of the SARS-CoV-2 Genome Suggesting Sophisticated Laboratory Modification Rather Than Natural Evolution and Delineation of Its Probable Synthetic Route”, provides evidence of the virus having biological characteristics that do not match viruses that came from animals.

“The evidence shows that SARS-CoV-2 should be a laboratory product created by using bat coronaviruses ZC45 and/or ZXC21 as a template and/or backbone. Building upon the evidence, we further postulate a synthetic route for SARS-CoV-2, demonstrating that the laboratory-creation of this coronavirus is convenient and can be accomplished in approximately six months. Our work emphasizes the need for an independent investigation into the relevant research laboratories”

Yan also revealed during an interview that the virus originated last year as a test run for wet markets in Wuhan and said her sources are from the CDC in China. She said she started researching the virus last year and accused Beijing’s government of lying since they deny her findings.

Before she fled to the United States, Yan said her work was completely erased from government databases. She also fears for her life and wants to warn Americans about the virus and its origins despite Yuan Zhiming, director of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, had continously denied claims that the virus started in his lab.
