The Chinese government says an ancient herbal drink could be used to help beat the Wuhan coronavirus.

According to the New York Post, the news outlet Xinhua informed citizens who are infected with the virus can drink the liquid called Shuanghuanglian and the publication sourced their findings from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The drink is believed to help alleviate some symptoms, causing lines to form at pharmacies so people could quickly purchase the “remedy.”

However, the public became skeptical of the claims, leading officials to slow down with spreading information.
