Per Deadline, the country’s national film bureau reached out to all exhibitors on Friday (Mar 27), ordering them to close again. The site details that there is no re-opening timeframe in sight; however, the news does follow one new reported case of COVID-19 within the last three days, and a spike in imported cases.

Earlier this week, we also reported that the country was set to end their quarantine on April 8, after reporting zero new infections. Now, it is currently unknown if that’ll still be the case.

Although the spread of the virus has slowed tremendously, the one new local case and 52 imported cases has the country weary again, taking any precaution to slow the spread once more.

In addition to re-shuttering cinemas, the Chinese government said it wills top foreign citizens rom entering the country, avoiding any chance of a second wave.
