The life-saving moment began when Jada Marsh, an employee, noticed the customer having a medical emergency and called for assistance. “I was like, ‘Guys, I think he’s having a seizure,'” she told WLBT 3. Her co-workers, Georgia Foster and Katherine Garcia Ange, rushed over to help. Foster described how the team sprang into action: “Katherine comes around and takes off running, so I take off running after her.” Angel jumped through the car window to reach the driver and placed her hand on the brake pedal to ensure the vehicle remained steady. Foster managed to shift the car into park to prevent any movement.
Trained EMTs were leaving the restaurant when the emergency occurred and immediately stepped in to provide medical attention to the customer. Although the women are now called heroes for their quick thinking, they say that they did what they knew was right. Chick-fil-A is a big part of being a part of your community and helping out your fellow citizens. I think that’s what went into it,” Foster explained.
