Chicago Woman Who Rammed Her Car Into Another Woman’s During Wild Gas Station Fight Gets Charged

The whole thing went down on Sunday (April 16) around 3:15 p.m. at Thornton’s Gas Station near the intersection of Jackson Blvd. and Harlem Ave. in Forest Park, Illinois (a suburb outside of Chicago).

An innocent bystander, Jeremy “Jae Mills” Martin, captured the whole thing on his cell phone. He claims he was with his family when he saw a Chicago woman — later identified as 31-year-old Kendra Y. Nance — hurling homophobic and racial slurs at two other women.

One of those women are seen on Martin’s viral video throwing a bottle at Nance’s Ford Explorer, which was being driven by Nance’s unidentified boyfriend.

After the bottle was thrown, the boyfriend exited the truck and Nance got into the driver’s seat. Things then escalated after Nance put the pedal to the metal, and drove her Ford truck into a red van.

She was so frustrated and angered that she ended up dragging her own boyfriend — who was trying to stop the situation from further escalating — several feet across the gas station parking lot.

Nance then sped out of the lot and onto the street, where she hit another vehicle that was sitting at nearby light waiting to turn southbound at Jackson Blvd.

Upon crashing into the sitting car, Nance ended up flipping upside down in her Ford truck. With the SUV sitting on its roof, she managed to climb out of the broken window on the driver’s side.

In Martin’s video, the whole ordeal was captured, and even showed Nance hopping out the car, walking around, and hysterically laughing. Martin also captured Nance and her boyfriend, who she earlier drug with their truck, running away from the scene of the crime.

Eventually police located them both and had them transported to a nearby hospital, Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, for treatment.

Nance was later taken into custody and was charged for the whole incident, which include: felony criminal damage to property; two accounts of aggravated assault; reckless driving; leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident; and having no valid driver’s license

On Tuesday (April 18), the 31-year-old woman appeared in a Maywood court to face her charges. At the bond hearing, Nance was told bond would be set at $200,000, and that she would be due back in court on Wednesday (April 19) for violating probation on a previous case. And then she would be due back on May 12 for this case.
