A Chicago veterinarian has been arrested and charged with child porn, and the FBI even alleges that he had plans to sexually assault his unborn child being carried by a surrogate. The Chicago veterinarian, who is also accused of drugging and sexually assaulting his nieces and nephews, is currently being held without bond.

On Thursday (March 21), an arrest warrant was issued for Adam Stafford King, a veterinary ophthalmologist from Elburn, Illinois who was also a national dog show judge. According to court documents filed by the Northern District of Illinois, King was arrested on Friday (March 22) and charged with knowingly distributing child pornography, just days before his surrogate was expected to give birth to his child, whom he allegedly said he was planning on sexually assaulting.
The documents also state that the alleged material was distributed via the messaging app, Telegram, in September 2023. King reportedly worked under the username “PervChiDude” while messaging another person from New York who employed the username “SB1NYC.” It’s reported that the latter person, who was a separate target of FBI investigators but has not yet been publicly named, gave consent to have their account taken over by the feds to message King.
The court documents state that in October 2023, the FBI launched an investigation and after seizing the New York target’s account, they continued to message the Chicago veterinarian in the Telegram app. During the conversations, the Chicago veterinarian reportedly continued to send SB1NYC images and videos depicting illicit material involving children, like an image of an adult male sodomizing a prepubescent child.
Per the docs, King allegedly bragged about possessing “a large digital cache of child pornography stored on Telegram, and stated that he had previously drugged and sexually abused his nieces and nephews.” King also allegedly texted the account, not knowing it was the FBI controlling it, and said that his surrogate was expected to give birth to his and his husband’s child, a boy, on March 29.
According to court documents, King allegedly messaged SB1NYC a photo of a baby’s onesie outfit and ultrasound photos while revealing that he and his husband were expecting a child via surrogate. Coupled with the photos, King allegedly revealed plans to sexually assault the boy after they were no longer a newborn. King allegedly told SB1NYC that his “favorite” age range for child victims is “single digits,” meaning children under the age of 10.
Since the Chicago veterinarian was arrested and charged with child porn, his husband has confirmed that the two were in fact expecting a child and that the ultrasound images disseminated were in fact of their unborn child. The court docs also alleged that King messaged the account and explained, “I do love the idea of inviting a buddy over when I have my boy… just has to be someone I can trust obviously … I plan on getting my [expletive] in him ASAP.”
