The Breakfast Club crew is weighing in on the latest drama surrounding Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez — and Charlamagne tha God completely understands her frustration.
The conversation comes in response to a new wave of controversy stirred up by Lanez’s reps. As previously reported, a press conference was held last week where they claimed there’s “new evidence” suggesting Tory wasn’t the shooter. They even brought up a man named Bradley James, who allegedly worked as a bodyguard for Meg’s ex Bff Kelsey Harris, and reportedly said she was the one who allegedly pulled the trigger.
But here’s the thing: no new evidence has been filed yet. And Megan? She wasted no time shutting that narrative down.
While speaking on this topic, CTG reminded folks that Megan Thee Stallion already went through the trauma of testifying in court, where evidence was presented, witnesses spoke, and Tory Lanez was found guilty by a jury. So now, with Tory’s legal team trying to spin the story and blame Kelsey Harris, Charlamagne posed a real question “Why would Megan protect Kelsey” if she was the one who really shot her? Megan Thee Stallion’s Raw Response Goes Viral
As we previously covered, Megan Thee Stallion didn’t sugarcoat a damn thing in her statement. In her raw, unfiltered post, she called out the lies and made it crystal clear that she’s done protecting anybody who didn’t protect her.

“At what point are yall gonna stop making me have to re live being shot BY TORY !? At what point are Tory and yall FANS gonna stop lying ? Like how much is the check to keep harassing me? Why is this happening EVERY DAY?? One min him/ yall said I was never shot now yall letting him play in yall face AGAIN and say I was shot but it wasn’t him oh okay… ?! I’m sick of this LEAVE ME TF ALONE!!!! HE AINT DARE GET ON THAT STAND AND DENY HE SHOT ME AND THAT WAS HIS CHOICE BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE DID THAT IDGAF ABT A BLOG OR A BOT!!! WHY IN TF WOULD ME … MEGAN THEE STALLION HAVE TO LIE ON THIS MF ABT SHOOTING ME! How yall mad at the person that got shot ???? FACTS ARE FACTS, he did it, it was PROVEN IN COURT the hate campaign on the internet TORY YOU SHOT ME !! Ain’t no new evidence yall been saying the same for years TORY PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE you a demon. I’m off this silly ass internet BYE”
Her Legal Team Backs Her Up: “This Was Resolved in Court”
Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, also came forward to shut things down officially. In a statement to XXL, Spiro said:
“Tory Lanez was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers and his case was properly adjudicated through the court system. This is not a political matter — this is a case of a violent assault that was resolved in the court of law.”
Tory Lanez was convicted back in December 2022 for the 2020 shooting and sentenced to 10 years. Since then, he’s made multiple attempts to appeal or get out on bond—but nothing’s worked. This latest press conference is seen by many as just another hail Mary to sway public opinion or throw dust on the facts.
Still, without any actual legal motions or documented new evidence, the courts ain’t moving—and the people ain’t buying it either.
This Ain’t The First Time Tory’s Team Tried It
Let’s not act brand new. This ain’t the first time Tory’s team or fans tried to twist the truth. They’ve bounced between denying the shooting happened, claiming it wasn’t him, or now pointing fingers at Kelsey.
Even the stabbing incident Tory was allegedly involved in recently had folks thinking he’d try to use it to justify a sentence reduction. Now, with this “new narrative,” many are calling it a PR move to get sympathy or set up another appeal attempt.
