Channing Tatum reportedly lost his cool at a London restaurant, demanding a group of diners be kicked out after “wrongly” accusing them of taking photos of him. According to The Sun, the incident took place last month — the same month he allegedly had a heated disagreement with actress Thandie Newton that led to her departure from their movie, Magic Mike 3. Channing was dining at Louie — a celebrity hotspot located in Covent Garden — when sources say he threw a “diva-style tantrum,” furiously telling staffers that people had been photographing him at the restaurant.
“There was a group of six enjoying a meal and taking pictures of each other,” an insider revealed. Staff members were said to have been “terrified” of offending the 22 Jump Street star and decided to remove the people Channing appeared to have had a problem with, though they vehemently denied ever taking any snaps of the Hollywood actor. “Channing thought they were taking pictures of him and furiously stuck his middle finger up at them. The next thing, the maitre d’ was telling them to leave.”

The 42-year-old has been in London for a few months as he continues filming the third installment of Magic Mike, which attracted a heap of bad press last month following reports that the Channing had allegedly found himself in an argument with Thandiwe over Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Academy Awards in March. It was claimed at the time that the altercation was severe enough for Channing to storm off by hopping into his car and leaving the set before news broke that Thandiwe was leaving production — her role has since been replaced by Salma Hayek.

“Channing Tatum is the producer and number one on set. Thandiwe Newton is the number two star. But 11 days into shooting and it’s all over,” a source gushed. “They fell out over the debacle at The Oscars. I was on set. I watched her and watched him. They were in and out of the house where we were filming having this confrontation.”

Considering that Channing is the film producer, he ultimately decided whether Thandiwe would continue on the project, but after the father-of-one stressed he would not be willing to work with his former co-star again following their row, she was subsequently ousted. Scenes involving Thandiwe were believed to have been reshot while the movie’s director Steven Soderbergh reportedly chose not to take sides in the on-set feud.
Thandiwe’s quarrel with Channing was later blamed on her breakup with her husband of 24 years, Ol Parker, with whom she shares three children. According to Page Six, “Thandiwe had been acting strange on set, she has been very highly strung. Her apparent breakdown caused so much disruption, it became clear she couldn’t play the role. There is a lot going on in her personal life, she and her husband have separated. She seemed so stressed, she even brought her two pet rabbits to her hotel for emotional support.”
