Lawd! Legendary songstress Chaka Khan is coming for all the girls! Chaka shaded the hell out of her rumored “frenemy” Mary J Blige, and also shaded Mariah Carey and even Adele, after Rolling Stone ranked her at No. 29 on their list of 200 best singers of all time.
Calling out the publication and its editors, she said, “They need hearing aids” and “must be the children of Helen Keller!”

Chaka Khan Shades Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey & Adele After Rolling Stone Ranks Them Higher Than Her; She Calls Editors ‘The Children Of Helen Keller!’
While appearing on Los Angeles Magazine’s podcast, ’The Originals,’ the 69-year-old icon shared her grievances about the publication’s 200 singers list. After finding out that Adele was ranked higher than her, Chaka said, “Okay, I quit.”
When she learned Mariah was ranked at No. 5, she quipped, “That must be payola or some sh*t like that.” She also said that she doesn’t mess with Mariah. Then, when she heard that her longtime rumored “frenemy” Mary J. Blige was also ranked ahead of her, Chaka lost it!
Chaka slammed the editors and said, “These b**ches are blind as a motherf***ing bat! They need hearing aids. They don’t have hearing aids? They have no eyes. They have no ears. They must have a … these b**ches, you know what? These must be be the children of Helen Keller!”

Chaka also addressed some older 1990s tea about how she used to introduce the song “Sweet Thing,” sang by Rufus and introduced by her back in 1975, as “the song Mary J. Blige f***ed up.”
Chaka admitted that she did refer to the song as such; but also told MJB to her face that she messed the song up. She explained, “I told her her vocals were flat.”
As mentioned, Chaka and Mary J Blige have a love/hate relationship, despite Chaka claiming the two are cool in the podcast interview.
For decades, the two would go tit for tat, but in recent times they have apparently decided to put all their previous spats behind them.
Things really were noticeable back in 1992 when Mary released her cover of “Sweet Thing.” Fast forward to 2007, the two songstresses had let bygones be bygone and peaced it up ahead of recording a breakup song together called, “Disrespectful.”
