Chadwick Boseman’s Brother, Kevin Boseman Opens Up About His Own Cancer Battle

Kevin Boseman, brother of late actor Chadwick Boseman is opening about his own health, revealing that he too has been battling cancer.

Earlier this month, Boseman took to his Instagram story and revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and underwent four rounds of chemotherapy. The actor/writer said he initially shared the diagnosis with only a select few people because of “boundaries,” according to The Grio. However, he wanted to speak out to encourage fans to go get checked as “early detection saves lives.”

Boseman marked Oct. 14 as his two-year anniversary being cancer-free. He said in his IG story: “ I’m in remission!!!!! You read right. I am in remission.” Boseman’s remission celebration comes less than two months after Chadwick died from colon cancer at age 43. 

As it was previously reported Chadwick was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016 and still worked on so many great films. While recently speaking with the New York Times, Kevin said he admired his brother for his hard work and dedication.
