Footage from Donald Trump’s rally in Bozeman, Montana on Friday (August 9) has gone viral and obviously caught the attention of Celine Dion and her management team.

At Trump’s rally, which featured himself and running, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, a video of Celine Dion performing her hit song live was shown to rallygoers on a big screen. As the performance video appeared on the screen, rallygoers began roaring in cheers.

However, Celine Dion and her management team aren’t as cheerful to see her likeness being used at one of Donald Trump’s rallies. Reacting to the use of her video and song at Trump’s campaign event, Dion’s team — which involved herself, her management team, and record label executives — published an official statement to her X account (formerly Twitter) on Saturday afternoon (August 10).

It began, “Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana.”

The statement continued, “In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use.” Dion and her team hilariously ended the statement by asking, “…And really, THAT song?” — which obviously brought on a slew of sinking ship jokes about the choice of music at Trump’s rally.

In addition to all of the ‘Titanic‘ sinking ship and sinking campaign references and jokes, other users brought up reports from 2016 — which alleged that Celine Dion declined Donald Trump’s invitation to perform at his inauguration on January 20, 2017. At the time, Dion was already booked to perform in Las Vegas, where she was hosting a residency. It was reported that due to her scheduling conflict, it was impossible for her to accept the invite and perform in Washington, D.C.
