CDC Warns That COVID-19 Vaccine May Have Flu-Like Side Effects

The CDC is warning people that the new Coronavirus vaccine could have some flu-like side effects for a few days after receiving the shot.

Public officials are releasing this information so that people are not scared to get the vaccine. Dr Sandra Fryhofer from the American Medical Association said that both Pfizer’s and Moderna’sCovid-19 vaccines require two doses at varying intervals, but she doesn’t want people to deter after experiencing the symptoms from the first round.

In their clinical trials, Moderna shared that side effects included;

  • Fatigue
  • Chills
  • Headache
  • Myalgia
  • Pain at the injection site

“As a practicing physician, I have got to be sure my patients will come back for the second dose. We really have got to make patients aware that this is not going to be a walk in the park,” Dr. Sandra Fryhofer said. “They are going to know they got a vaccine. They are not going to feel wonderful.”

Per ABC7 the CDC has done research on adults’ attitudes and found that anywhere between 40% and 80% of those who participated in the research revealed that they’d be willing to get vaccinated.
