The Center for Disease Control and Prevention said in their new guidelines that those who are fully vaccinated are not required to quarantine if exposed to the virus.

In their new guidelines, the CDC states people who are fully vaccinated within three months of receiving their one or two doses are not required to quarantine if they are exposed to the coronavirus and do not develop any symptoms. It reads, “Updated quarantine recommendations for vaccinated persons. Fully vaccinated persons who meet the criteria will no longer be required to quarantine following exposure to someone with COVID-19. Additional considerations for patients and residents in healthcare settings are provided.”
They also recommend continuing to practice social distancing, double masking, and avoiding crowds. ‘

According to NBC News, the CDC says it is still unclear if fully vaccinated people could spread the coronavirus but vaccinations “has been demonstrated to prevent symptomatic Covid-19; symptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission is thought to have a greater role in transmission than purely asymptomatic transmission.
