CDC Predicts Horrific COVID-19 Death Rate For December

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has predicted the US death toll from the deadly Coronavirus to exceed 300,000 by mid-December.

According to the CDC, the country could get to between 294,000 to 321,000 deaths by Dec. 19. In the week ending on Dec. 19, there’s expected to be 10,600 to 21,400 new deaths.

However, the research does “make assumptions about the levels of social distancing and other interventions” — which means if the public adheres to social distancing and quarantine guidelines these numbers can be decreased by a large margin.

“I know the country has grown weary of the fight,” President-elect Joe Biden said in a Thanksgiving eve address urging unity. “We need to remember we’re at war with the virus, not with one another. Not with each other.”

As we reported, the CDC is also warning people that the new Coronavirus vaccine could have some flu-like side effects for a few days after receiving the shot.

Public officials are releasing this information so that people are not scared to get the vaccine. Dr Sandra Fryhofer from the American Medical Association said that both Pfizer’s and Moderna’sCovid-19 vaccines require two doses at varying intervals, but she doesn’t want people to deter after experiencing the symptoms from the first round.
