Officials issued an advisory on Wednesday for the public to be aware and stay away from certain hand sanitizer brands that contain methanol as reported by the New York Post. The brands posted by the CDC have been known to become toxic when absorbed through the skin or ingested. There have been 15 cases of citizens who have died or became sick due to methanol poisoning.
