Catholic Exorcist Warns That ‘The Holy Spirit Board’ Is ‘A Trap From The Devil,’ Despite Being Marketed As A ‘Christian’ Game
A Catholic exorcist named Father Ernesto Caro recently spoke with ‘EWTN News Nightly‘ and warned viewers about the game. Father Caro, who is an exorcist in the Diocese of Monterey, Mexico, said, “The devil is always looking for different ways that he can trap all the victims that he can take for him, and this is one.”
As mentioned, the game has been marketed otherwise. According to Amazon, the board game allows its players to speak directly with God, who will then communicate through the board to “answer all of life’s most important questions.”
However, Father Caro opposes the marketing scheme and says the game is simply a disguised Ouija board. He affirms, “It’s not a game. It’s a trap from the devil.”
Father Caro explains, “[The devil] can now change the Ouija board and put images that we use naturally, like the crucifix, and all of the angels, and different elements that we are now familiarized with. And the people could think that it could be something that the church … It’s giving us a chance to communicate with him through these Ouija boards, but it’s just called ‘The Holy Spirit Board.'”
Father Caro goes on to explain how when he reviewed the comments on Amazon for the game, he noticed a lot of those who purchased the board game are Christians, who truly believe they can “finally communicate directly with God.”
Father Caro also says that people can be easily fooled by the game. He explains, “If you are not familiarized with this, it is easy for you to be caught by this trap. You will see this on Amazon, how they are advertising this board. You will think that it could be something good. Then you read the comments and think, ‘Wow! Let me try it!’ And you will be trapped. All these things are in the Bible and are forbidden. All these Ouija games. It’s a trap and we have to be careful.”
