Atlanta Cop Caught Laughing On Video After Breaking Black Man’s Ankle
Shocking bodycam footage shows the encounter between an Atlanta cop and a black driver, that left the black man with a broken ankle.
Tyler Griffin was pulled over for an alleged traffic violation in April of 2019, when the officer yelled, “Get out of the f–king car!”
The officer then grabbed his shirt and Griffin brushed him off, which led to a second white officer tackling Griffin and breaking his ankle.
“He’s supposed to protect and serve, not act like he’s on WWE,” said Griffin’s attorney Jeb Butler.
Officer Donald Vickers was video laughing at Griffin, who was screaming in pain.
“We’re laughing because you fell pretty hard after pushing an officer, man. I find that funny, man,” Vickers said.
Griffin was then forced to walk on his broken ankle.
“It hurts! It hurts!” and “Oh my God — help me, please! Take the pain away!”
“You sound like a little girl right now,” Vickers responded.
Griffin is currently taking legal action against the two officers and doesn’t believe that they were disciplined in any way.
“I grew up believing that if you cooperated with officers, everything would be okay,” he said. “I still think most police officers are good people. But what happened to me is not acceptable, and this story has to be told.”
