Red, who’s close friends with Cassie and has previously written for the singer, first made headlines with the former couple back in May. At the time, Red called out Diddy after he shared an apology video following CNN’s release of surveillance video showing him physically assaulting Cassie in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.

Diddy attempted to “take full responsibility” for the incident claiming he was in a dark space then. Red told him to “Cut it out,” adding, “You’re sorry you got caught.” Red continued to claim the abuse continued even after that incident, so there was no way he could be sorry.

Since calling out Diddy in May, the entertainment mogul has since been indicted by a federal grand jury on three counts: racketeering conspiracy (RICO), sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Diddy’s RICO charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison, as does his charge of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. His transportation for purposes of prostitution charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Diddy has also been denied bond twice and will remain in jail at MDC Brooklyn until the start of his trial.

Since the denials, Tiffany Red took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday (September 18) and said, “Today, I feel a little safer knowing Sean Combs is behind bars. I’m grateful to the U.S. Attorney, for the Southern District of New York, and Homeland Security for stepping in and showing Mr. Combs and the music industry, which enabled him, that they’re not above the law.”

She continued, “This past year has been incredibly stressful and terrifying at times, but I am grateful for the opportunity to free myself from all these day experiences.”

In a second IG Story post, Tiffany Red recalled smoking an allegedly laced joint in the studio at Diddy’s LA mansion and other alleged negative experiences. She said, “While co-creating Cassie’s sophomore album, I was degraded by Sean Combs, deceived by him, his team, and the record labels about the music being released.”

She added, “I was exposed to Diddy’s abuse of Cassie and others in her circle, and I unknowingly consumed something laced without my consent at his Holmby Hills home studio while writing for Cassie back in 2017. I’ll never forget screaming, ‘What’s in this?!’ I knew instantly after smoking the joint that something was wrong. I got away that night by the grace of GOD, but I am haunted by the things I can’t remember about that evening. No one should have to endure this kind of trauma to pursue success in the music industry. We all deserve better.”
