Carole Baskin Sued For Defamation Over References To Don Lewis On ‘DWTS’
The newest cast member of ‘Dancing With The Stars‘ (DWTS) Carole Baskin is being sued for defamation over her references to late husband Don Lewis.
According to a new lawsuit by Lewis’ family — which includes his daughters Gale, Lynda, and Donna, plus his former assistant Anne McQueen — Baskin joked about Lewis’ mysterious disappearance on the show, which they say is no laughing matter.

In documents obtained, McQueen says instead of speaking against jokes about Lewis’ death, Baskin complied when judges asked bout the viral TikTok videos inspired by her storyline in Netflix’s ‘Tiger King‘ — the videos feature lyrics and a dance routine against Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Savage.”
Also, the suit criticizes the way Baskin didn’t put her foot down to a judge’s statement that she “didn’t quite kill the paso double, it was kind of sedated.” Elsewhere, Baskin is also blasted for going on ‘Good Morning America‘ and joking in that interview when promising to “really kill it next week” on ‘DWTS.’

Moreover, the Lewis family attorney, John Phillips, says Baskin and McQueen’s quarrels date back to 1998, when Baskin settled a libel and slander suit filed by McQueen for $50,000. McQueen and Lewis’ daughters now say Baskin is repeating those previously told false narratives.
