Carol Baskin’s Ex-Husband’s Lawyer Says He “Was Strangled And Thrown Out Of A Plane”

Don Lewis’ lawyer says his client was strangled and thrown out of an airplane over the Gulf of Mexico twenty years ago.

According to the Daily Mail, Lewis’ former lawyer Joseph Fritz said his client was set up during an interview with Nancy Grace on Fox Nation’s “A Tiger King Investigation.” Fritz stated that Don Lewis may have been lured to a private luxury airport to buy an airplane but was killed in the process:

Don Lewis, he was terribly cheap while he was very wealthy. He was cheap beyond belief. What would have lured him more than anything else is a good deal on an airplane. So that’s what I assume happened — that he got lured up to the Pilot Country Estates to look at an airplane,’

His disappearance in 1997 was highlighted in the mega-popular Netflix series “Tiger King” where one of the segments discusses his marriage to Joe Exotic’s rival, Carole Baskin. The couple met in 1980 and got married in 1991 until his disappearance. They ran an exotic animal exhibit until Baskin decided to rebrand themselves as “Big Cat Rescue” in Hillsborough County, Florida. Five years after his disappearance, Lewis was declared legally dead but his body was never found.
