Shocking details have emerged in the viral case of Carlee Russell. In a new press conference that took place on Wednesday, cops revealed Russell’s internet searches prior to her disappearance that has people raising their eyebrows about the whole situation.

Carlee Russell reportedly searched for information about Amber Alerts, bus stations and taking money before she went missing.

The U.S. Secret Service found these searches on her phone, which was left in her car after she went missing Thursday night after reporting a toddler walking along I-459.

Search terms included:

  • “you have to pay for an amber alert or search”
  • “how to take money from a register without being caught”
  • “Birmingham bus station”
  • “one-way bus ticket from Birmingham to Nashville”
  • (the movie) “taken”
  • information about Amber alerts on her work computer
  • Other searches that police say reveal her mindset that won’t be released

Cops also revealed the details that Russell told detectives on the night she went missing. According to the press conference she told authorities that she was kidnapped by a guy with orange hair and he had bald spot on the back of his head and stated the man was with a female but she never saw the female, only hearing her voice. She says that she was put into a 18 wheeler but she was able to escape and run away, but she was captured again and the kidnappers reportedly blind folded her but did not, tie her up because they didn’t want to leave marks on her arms.

She then goes on to explain that she was dragged into a house where they made her get undressed and she believes they took pictures of her. And she says the next morning she woke up she was fed cheese crackers by the woman and she was also playing with her hair.

Overall, towards the end of the conference the cop announced that “we have no reason to believe that there is a threat to the public safety related to this case.”

The breaking news first made headlines when Carlee allegedly went missing on July 13, but was found safe on July 15. And while the police department is still actively investigating the case and gathering evidence, according to WVTM30, they revealed yesterday that the “snack food type items” Carlee bought prior to going missing from Target on Highway 280 were never found anywhere in or around her vehicle.

Furthermore, new information released by the police contradicts an earlier report of a toddler walking down the interstate, which was initially told to cops. Police say they have found no evidence to support this claim, nor did they receive any other calls regarding a child on the interstate. Police also say that the surveillance footage they obtained from Carlee’s residence reportedly showed her walking down the sidewalk before arriving home. A 911 caller initially told law enforcement officials that she was “unresponsive,” but when first responders arrived, she was “conscious and speaking.”

They are now waiting for a second interview with Carlee, which may provide additional insights into what transpired during her disappearance. Since the latest update from today black twitter is outraged by the new details. Check out some of the reactions below!
