Carl Crawford Denies Negligence Claims In $1M Suit For Drownings At His Home

Carl Crawford claims he’s not responsible for the deaths of a young boy and woman who drowned at a pool party at his house earlier this year.

According to Bossip, the 1501 record label mogul denied allegations of negligence in a $1 million lawsuit brought by the father of the five-year-old who passed away in May at Crawford’s Texas home. Call believes the blame should’ve been on the adult that accompanied him.

Liban Hersi sued Crawford in June 2020 for failing to take “reasonable and necessary steps” to keep his son away from the area.

However, according to the documents Crawford said the child’s death isn’t his fault and asked Hersi to provide evidence that shows Crawford was negligent. He believes that the woman who accompanied the boy shared responsibility, and if the case goes forward, he only wants compensation to be done to medical bills. He wants the courts to dismiss him, his label 1501, and his business Mansfield LLC.

The lawsuit filed by Liban Hersi and Jazmine Hernandez states their Kesan’s death has caused mental anguish and Crawford should be held responsible for failing to maintain a safe environment and supervision for all guests during the party.
