Cardi B took to Twitter on Tuesday to respond to a social media user who had falsely accused LaLa Anthony of looking like she couldn’t stand the rapper at the Met Gala. As you’ll probably recall, Cardi was being interviewed by LaLa, who was hosting the official Vogue live stream for the annual fundraising event. But one particular person’s tweet got a lot attention on Twitter, saying they didn’t think Cardi and LaLa’s energy was aligned, subsequently making it seem as if the “BMF” star apparently wasn’t feeling the interview.

“It’s so obvious that she can’t stand her,” the person said. Being the social media clap back queen that she is, Cardi wasted no time to let it be known that there was no tension between her and LaLa. “Not true …. I talk to Lala more then any celeb … She knows everything !!! ( if your ever need some she knows all the contacts) She has helped me ALOT !!!!”

Even people in our HU page’s comment section, people were left puzzled as to how people could read into this false accusation that LaLa couldn’t stand Cardi, particularly when LaLa has always spoken highly of the fellow New Yorker in interviews. “It just looks like the beginning they were getting settled cameras and microphones. Lala is super sweet to everyone,” one person wrote.

“I would not be responding to randoms on the internet. You cannot fight the internet…just ignore that shit..,” one person said, defending Cardi.

“It’s only awkward cause we wasn’t suppose to see all this, this is right before cameras start rolling so people have to get themselves together before they go live on tv,” a third person added. “LALA has a earpiece in her ear getting prepared for questions, they are both at work.”

At the Met Gala, Cardi served up not one but two outfits; the first she wore while stepping out of The Mark Hotel wearing a pink chiffon gown that had florals sticking out from behind.

Upon her arrival on the red carpet, however, the “I Like It” hitmaker had switched things up wearing a tuxedo gown accompanied by huge roses at the bottom while her hair was inspired by the late Karl Lagerfeld who was being honored at the occasion.

“This skirt is giving Chanel Boy bag, and the flowers — when you get a Chanel purse, you always get white flowers but this one is black. Up top, it’s giving Karl,” Cardi said on the red carpet. “I’m representing the House of Chanel and Karl at the same time.”

And, boy, did she represent, alright.
