Cardi B ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ Named First Female Rap Debut To Chart 100 Weeks

While it’s been nearly two years since Cardi B released her debut album, ‘Invasion Of Privacy,’ the record continues grabbing achievements, this as it becomes the first female rap debut to chart for 100 weeks.

At 91 weeks on the Billboard 200, IOP tied the streak with Lauryn Hill and her classic ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill,’ that following week, Cardi took the title solely at 92 weeks, officially surpassing Lauryn’s record.

But, hold on — the streak didn’t end there, instead, IOP ran its way through 99 weeks, making it to the 100-week mark, becoming the first debut album by a female rapper to ever achieve the milestone. And, it looks to surpass that!

Furthermore, after Cardi received the recognition at 92 weeks, in January, she shared, “Thank you everybody ! Hopefully by the time I put my second album out IOP still charting .It will be dope to have two albums charting at the same time ! Ugh THE PRESSURE ! Thank you for the love . BGBGBG!”

Additionally, the album went on to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album (the rapper’s first ever Grammy), and earned a nomination for Album of the Year. It’s been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA.
