Breakup rumors have been swirling in recent weeks about Cardi B and Offset but nothing has been confirmed until now.
A rep for the New York rapper exclusively confirmed to Page Six that Cardi went ahead and filed for divorce from her estranged husband on Wednesday. Although the rep did not share any additional details, it was said that Cardi is “not folding” this time around. However, it was noted that Cardi will be seeking primary custody of their children. The former power couple who married in 2017 have 2 kids together, 6-year-old Kulture and 2-year-old Wave.
While new infidelity rumors have also been floating around, a source close revealed to the outlet that the new allegations were not the main reason she wanted to call it quits. “They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” the insider told the outlet. “This is something she wants to do.”
This marks the second time Cardi has pulled the plug on their relationship and filed for divorce. As we previously reported, she made such a move in 2020 but withdrew the docs.

In a 2023 interview on the Jason Lee Show, Cardi recalled the difficult time in her relationship with Offset and spoke about how they were able to get through it.
“Me and Offset, we were not seeing eye-to-eye. This was like, the same year I filed for divorce and everything,” Cardi told Jason Lee. “The main thing that I wanted him to stop and everything, he stopped and he changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me,” she said.
Just last December, the “Enough” rapper took to Instagram Live to confirm that she had been single “for a minute.” However, the two eventually reunited over the months and popped out a few times publicly together.
While fans were hoping that they could make it work, it looks like they weren’t able to this time around.
Cardi or Offset has yet to publicly speak out on her latest filing.
