Capitol Zip Tie Rioter Arrested And Identified As Bartender

A Tennesee bartender was arrested by the FBI for his involvement in the violent riots at the Capitol building.

30-year-old Eric Munchel was arrested by FBI agents after his identity was confirmed by social media users. Munchel became viral after a photo of him carrying zip ties and wearing battle gear after entering the Senate chamber. Before deleting his Facebook page. Munchel had pictures of him with shotguns, semi-automatics, and handguns plus other photos of him participating in anti-mask rallies while wearing bulletproof vests.

Based on the FBI’s findings, he was one of the few rioters they were focused on after believing he and other followers were planning to kidnap and kill members of Congress.

So far, over 80 arrests have been made and 15 will face federal charges for their involvement in the Capitol riots.
