A Canadian teacher, with size Z prosthetic breasts, has been put on paid leave after months of sparking controversy.
Canadian Teacher With Size Z Prosthetic Breasts Is Placed On Paid Leave After Months Of Controversy
The teacher has been identified as 39 year old Kayla Lemieux, who teaches at Oakville Trafalgar High School in Ontario.
Back in September 2022, Lemieux — who identifies as a woman, using she/her pronouns — quickly sparked controversy as soon as photos and videos of her unique appearance while on the high school campus hit the internet.

Amid the controversy, school officials claim: they and Lemieux have received bomb and gun threats; students have been subjected to suspension if caught recording the teacher on campus; and angered parents have demanded a new dress code for teachers.
However, this ask was initially denied; but, the board eventually compromised to develop a policy requiring teachers to maintain an “appropriate and professional” appearance.

Additionally, on Tuesday (March 28), the Halton School District confirmed that Lemieux has been put on a paid leave, and still remains employed.
Prior to her leave, it was also reported that Lemieux’s breasts are only worn at school, and that off campus she dresses like a man; allegedly being spotted by neighbors without the breasts and wig.
However, Lemieux adamantly told The New York Post that she is “not wearing prosthetic breasts. These are real.” Lemieux also claims she has a rare condition, but hasn’t offered any solid medical proof or diagnosis, reportedly.
She explains, “My condition is classified as gigantomastia, which can also be referred to as macromastia or breast hypertrophy. It affects women on a very rare basis, but in my case, I believe — and my doctor thinks — because I have XX chromosomes as well, that has something to do with it, and hormone sensitivity to estrogen has caused it.”

While men are born with XY chromosomes, and women with XX chromosomes, Lemieux says, “Intersex people can have a mixture of those two different sets of chromosomes. It can be something they don’t even know about. It can show up in other physical attributes at birth so it can be more obvious or less obvious, depending on the person.”
Lemieux also said that she is not “transgender,” but was born “intersex.” She added that she was “in transition” after she began to undergo hormone replacement therapy back in 2021.
The Canadian teacher further explained, “I identify as a woman. Female. She/her. My whole life, I’ve been identifying as male. I’ve been looking like a male. When I decided to embrace this other side of me around age 39, this presented itself.”
