California Megachurch Pastor Dies From COVID-19 After Hosting Outdoor Services

California might be shutting down again except for essential activities and places of worship, but Coronavirus cases continue to increase and affect those on places of worship.

NBC Los Angeles reports that Megachurch pastor Bob Bryant from Bernardino County, California, has died from the Coronavirus  after leading outdoor services for his church.

Bryant, 58, was a pastor at Water of Life Community Church in Fontana.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share Pastor Bob Bryant passed on Monday, November 30th from this life and found himself fully in the presence of Jesus,” the church wrote.

“So many of you have prayed and contended for his well-being and miraculous healing. It’s been inspiring to watch our church family come together to contend for Pastor Bob and care for the Bryant family. … Today Pastor Bob is where he has always loved to be, in the presence of Jesus. He loved God and he loved people with great passion. We celebrate his life and how he lived and influenced us to love like Jesus loved!”

Bob’s wife reveals that his condition declined quickly after he contracted the virus. Luckily, she tested negative after a few weeks, however, he didn’t make it. She is still unsure where he got it from.

Church services have continued to take place outside during the pandemic despite a rise in case. Outdoor dining and other activities have been shit down.
