California Mayor Resigns After 9 Women Allege Sexual Assault, Including ‘Teen Mom’ Farrah Abraham
After 9 women alleged sexual assault or misconduct against him, including former MTV ‘16 & Pregnant‘ & ‘Teen Mom‘ star Farrah Abraham, 29, Windsor, California Mayor Dominic Foppoli, 39, has now resigned. In early April, Abraham filed a police report in Palm Beach, Florida against Foppoli, claiming he assaulted her while they both were visiting the area back in March.
Per Abraham’s report, filed on April 2, the crime is listed as “sexual battery” and authorities claim they have “an open and active criminal investigation” ongoing. Abraham’s allegations, for which she reportedly has physical evidence, are not the only claims out there–and thus, Foppoli announced his resignation last Friday (May 21).

While denying all accusations in his letter, Foppoli then accused Abraham of fabricating a story as The San Francisco Chronicle released their article on April 8, which detailed the other allegations. He said, “I have no doubt she is making these allegations in an attempt to leverage the situation to her advantage. Abraham filed her police report three days before Chronicle reporters first contacted Foppoli about their upcoming investigation.” Meanwhile, Foppoli faces eight other women alleging sexual misconduct, ranging from rape to unwanted exposure.
Abraham’s attorney, Spencer Kuvin, tells PEOPLE, “We are glad that the former mayor is starting to feel some of the repercussions of his actions. We are hopeful that the police finish their investigation and turn this matter over to the State Attorneys office so that Mr. Foppoli can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Victims of sexual assault have been silent too long, and we should applaud the women who are brave enough to stand up and demand justice.”
