Caitlyn Jenner was “shocked” upon finding out she had not received an invite to Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding in Portofino, Italy, last weekend, it has been revealed. The 72-year-old former Olympic champion was noticeably absent from the festive occasion as Kourtney walked down the aisle and married her beau Travis Barker, with most of her family members in attendance. While Rob is believed to have skipped the wedding, Caitlyn reportedly wasn’t even approached with an invite.
TMZ claimed earlier this week that there were “no hard feelings” between the pair since they aren’t as close as they used to be, but according to sources via Page Six, the I Am Cait star was initially shocked that she hadn’t been considered to attend, regardless of how much the pair communicate between one another. After all, Caitlyn was married to her mother Kris Jenner for 22 years and became a stepdad to his former flame’s children, Kim Kardashian, Khloe, Rob, and Kourtney, on top of the two daughters — Kylie and Kendall — she shares with the momager.

This isn’t the first time Caitlyn has found herself snubbed by the family, having also been left out of contractual negotiations to star in the Hulu series The Kardashians, which premiered back in April. According to Variety, the deal that saw the famous clan leave E! ‘s Keeping Up With the Kardashians in favor of Hulu is worth an estimated $100 million — but Caitlyn had no involvement with the contract because there were no plans to have her involved with the show. “Of course no bad blood. I love my family and am thrilled for the show continuing,” she wrote on Twitter in March. “But I was shocked to learn through the press that I was explicitly excluded from the new show. It is unfortunate to not be given the opportunity to continue with the show. With that said, I cannot emphasize enough how happy I am for my family that it continues!”
Caitlyn appeared to have burned bridges with the family after the release of her memoir, Secrets Of My Life, in 2017, where she made some not-so-nice remarks about Kris, claiming that she had always known about Cait’s former secret life as a transgender woman. Along those lines, it was also said in the book that Kris was difficult to live with and that Caitlyn “wasn’t comfortable” having sex with her ex-wife.
“My attitude is no different than it was in high school: I’m just not entirely comfortable with it,” she wrote. “I tell Kris about my gender issues before I make love to her. This will always be a subject of dispute between us. She insists that she was taken by surprise by my ultimate transition to Caitlyn, which obviously means in her mind that she did not know enough.”
