The store announced on its website that it would close its doors on June 30, and liquidation sales have begun. According to the Daily Mail, the store was purchased by Bed, Bath & Beyond in 2007. Still, the parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Sunday after reportedly failing to secure funds to keep the company afloat.

‘Thank you to all of our loyal customers. We have made the difficult decision to begin winding down our operations. Bed Bath & Beyond and BuyBuy Baby stores remain open to serve you,’ the statement said on their website.

Bed, Bath, & Beyond said in a follow-up statement that retail stores and websites will remain open and continue serving their customers until June. Buy Buy Baby coupons will be valid for use until May 8. Earlier this year, Bed Bath & Beyond warned about a potential bankruptcy as they addressed concerns about being unable to pay off their expenses due to difficulties from the previous holiday season. The company struggled to keep stocks afloat due to liquidation issues.

Additionally, they defaulted on a credit line with JPMorgan in January. It could make interest payments using funding from its first stock offering but still discovered it would have to file for bankruptcy. The company was able to raise $360 million from the previous deal, but it was terminated in March and announced it would be selling $300 million in shares.

Buy Buy Baby was the leading American retailer of baby products and gear, founded in 1996 by Richard and Jeffrey Feinstein. The store started with just two stores in New Jersey but has since grown to more than 200 stores across the United States and Canada.

Buy Buy Baby offers many products for babies, toddlers, and expectant mothers. They also offer free classes on parenting topics such as car seat safety and nutrition for newborns. Their mission is to make sure parents are well-prepared for their new arrival.

Over the years, Buy Buy Baby has become a go-to destination for parents looking for quality baby products at an affordable price. Parenting Magazine has recognized it as one of the best places to shop for baby items and has earned numerous awards from Consumer Reports.

Customers were also saddened by the closings as the store was their go-to destination for all baby goods.
