A Colorado woman took action last week when she caught a man slipping a cell phone beneath her dressing room door.

Michelle Chandler, a mother of five, confronted and restrained the stranger. Video footage showed Chandler sitting on top of the man as he tried to escape, and she used her knee to keep him down while store employees assisted. According to FOX 31, the incident occurred when Chandler was trying on outfits at Nordstrom for Mother’s Day. She noticed something was wrong when she smelled a strong, pungent odor in the dressing room.
“Funny thing, I noticed someone’s feet stinks really bad. As I went to take these pants off, I bent down, looked over, and I saw men’s shoes, socks, and his phone pointing right at me. I grabbed him, threw him down on the ground, put my knee in his back, and held his head down,” she explained.

Chandler said the suspect was a 19-year-old man, but she didn’t disclose his name. However, the Lakewood Police Department confirmed their involvement in the incident but didn’t specify the charges brought against the peeping suspect. Social media users also responded to the case and called Chandler a hero for taking action and defending herself against the peeping suspect.
