A Florida man died in a freak accident while he attempted to burglarize a home on Saturday. However, his family says they need more answers after hearing the report from authorities.

Jonathan Hernandez, 32, tried to enter a home in Lehigh Acres when one of the windows slammed onto his neck and Lee County deputies reported that the young man was found suspended off of the ground and pronounced dead at the scene. According to Too Fab, his family does not believe the police’s story surrounding Hernandez’s death.
His fiance, Patricia Duarte, says authorities informed her that her partner was killed by the ground floor window but she thinks something else happened after she inspected the home.
“When I first met him, I was like man he looks like he has a rap sheet like El Chapo. And he’s the complete opposite of that. He’s the sweetest person you’d probably ever meet and has the biggest heart. I just need something to be done the right way. I need a proper investigation, I need the actual truth to come to light.”

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that Hernandez has an extensive rap sheet and was arrested for a 2014 murder case:
“While Hernandez was trying to work his way in through the window, it unexpectedly closed on top of him, pinning him and keeping him suspended in the air. When deputies arrived, they found Hernandez deceased. Hernandez is no stranger to law enforcement; in fact, in 2014 he was arrested for his involvement in a murder case.”
