According to a report from Buffalo Police, the suspect, Jeremy Griffin,48, entered the clinic and started shooting at the Alba de Vida clinic in Buffalo’s West Side. The incident did not result in any injuries, and once the security guards subdued the shooter, the authorities took his AR-15 into custody. Dionne Brown, a nurse, told Buffalo News that the situation might have been worse if it weren’t for the guards’ rapid thinking.
“We see the climate of people and their anxiety and mental issues. We see that every day. We knew that if we didn’t speak up about it and then do something about it, that it possibly could be a bad outcome any day, you know?”

Buffalo and Uvalde showed even when other people have guns against 1 active shooter; lives are still lost. Cops didn’t respond accordingly. The people who defended themselves were also killed. Instead of prevention people think it either won’t happen to them or will be different https://t.co/7yiSK43CIp

Griffin was arrested and charged with attempted murder for injuring a woman in a separate incident on Pennsylvania Street. Erie County District Attorney John Flynn commended the two security guards for preventing another deadly shooting and protecting those at the clinic.
“I just can’t say enough about the heroic efforts of the two security guards inside the clinic, but the two civilians who just happened to be out front because there were numerous employees in the clinic, and there were numerous patients in the clinic as well, and this could have been much worse”
