Bubba Wallace Reacts To FBI Investigation: “It’s A Straight-Up Noose!”
On Tuesday, the FBI said the noose discovered in NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace’s garage over the weekend had been there since October 2019 and said it concluded that “no crime” had actually been committed.

After the latest update on the case was shared, the hashtag #BubbaHoax began trending on Twitter with some users comparing the NASCAR star to Jussie Smollett. Now, despite that, Wallace is making it clear that it wasn’t a hoax and that what he found in his garage was a “straight-up noose.”
While speaking with CNN’s Don Lemon Tuesday night, Wallace said he never personally saw the noose and was simply reacting to what the head of NASCAR had told him about it. Having seen images of the rope after the fact, Wallace stated, “It’s a straight-up noose.” He went on to say, “I talked to my crew chief about it. … I wanted to make sure we weren’t jumping the gun,” Wallace told Lemon. ” … It was a noose. Whether tied in 2019, or whatever, it was a noose. So, it wasn’t directed at me, but somebody tied a noose.”
Meanwhile, NASCAR did release a statement saying, “We appreciate the FBI’s quick and thorough investigation and are thankful to learn that this was not an intentional, racist act against Bubba.”
