The officer’s identity was not immediately revealed but he is facing arrest for tossing 20-year-old Dounya Zayer to the sidewalk on May 29 near the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Zayer was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital due to the push causing her to hit her head on the pavement. The New York Daily News said in a report that the NYPD officer works for Brownsville’s 73 Precinct.

He will be charged with assault and official misconduct. The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office said the incident is still under investigation.
