Two men have been arrested after a shootout in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. The five shooting victims included a boy and his mother who were exiting out of a cab.

According to ABC 7, the mother and son were exiting out of a cab near a small gathering when the two male suspects started shooting into the crowd at the intersection of Crown Street and Nostrand Avenue. Investigators believe the shooting may have been gang-related but it is unclear who was the target.
The victims were transported to Kings County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

NYPD Police Chief Terence Monahan called the shooting senseless and asked anyone to come forward with any information.
“At tonight’s senseless shooting in Brooklyn where five people were shot, officers also arrested two men — and recovered two guns. The investigation is in its early stages and is ongoing. We’re asking anyone with information to contact @NYPDTips at #800577TIPS.”
The Labor Day parade was canceled due to the coronavirus but police officers allowed people to march and organizers encouraged people to celebrate virtually from home.
