Britney Spears is gearing up to walk down the aisle, with a new report claiming that the Gimme More singer and her longtime beau Sam Asghari have arranged for their wedding to take place today. As per TMZ, the 40-year-old, who has quite frankly been living her best life since the termination of her conservatorship in November, is expected to have around 100 people at the ceremony, most of which will be their closest friends and family members.
While Britney has made it no secret that she’s not on good terms with her family, sources say she did invite her brother Bryan, who is making the trip to support his sister on her big day. But every other relative on Brit’s side — including her mother, father, and sister, Jamie Lynn — won’t be there for obvious reasons.
Seeing that her dad Jamie Spears has been snubbed and won’t be giving his daughter away, it remains unclear who Britney plans on doing the honors. Furthermore, she hasn’t mentioned a word about her upcoming nuptials on social media, but the mother-of-two did appear to have hinted at a possible wedding in a video she posted to her Instagram Story on Wednesday.
In the clip, Britney is seen being chauffeured in a Rolls Royce as she enjoys a glass of champagne with Sam sitting beside her. A standout moment in the video was when she flashed her ever-so-fancy nails, which, on top of TMZ’s report, seemingly adds to the speculation Brit may have been preparing for her wedding all along.
Britney and Sam became engaged back in September 2021 after five years of dating. The fitness trainer and male model was said to have been very influential in getting his leading lady out of her court-ordered conservatorship, which she had previously said had prevented her from committing to a relationship by considering the idea of marriage and having more children.

In January, Britney’s legal team filed court documents saying that upon their investigation, her dad had allegedly collected $36 million during his daughter’s 13-year conservatorship, with Brit’s attorneys hoping that $6 million of that sum will be returned to her in due time.
Some of the money Jamie made was spent on pitching a TV show called Cookin’ Cruzin’ & Chaos, the court docs claim, alongside taking part in self-dealing, financial and business mismanagement. Millions were then also handed to the hefty lawyer fees Britney had to pay for their service while she was tied to the conservatorship.
Also, in January, Jamie Lynn went on to release her memoir, Things I Should Have Said, where she tries to clear her name from having any involvement in the fiasco concerning Britney’s finances, prompting the latter’s legal team to send off a cease and desist letter, letting Jamie Lynn know her older sister “will not be bullied.”
“The last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her. Although Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.”
