Britney Spears’ Estranged Mom ‘So Happy’ For Her Daughter Despite Being Snubbed From Wedding

Britney Spears held a beautiful wedding ceremony at her LA home on Thursday as she tied the knot to her beau of six years, Sam Asghari. And while the pop star had a handful of stars on her guest list, including Madonna, Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton, and Drew Barrymore, Britney’s mother Lynn, sister Jamie Lynn, and father Jamie were believed to have been absent from the event.

Since the singer’s conservatorship ended in November, Britney has been open and honest about the not-so-pleasant relationship she has shared with her mom for several years now, so it’s not all that surprising she reportedly wasn’t extended an invitation. Still, that didn’t stop the 67-year-old from sharing a few words about her daughter’s special day as she took to the comment section of one of Britney’s Instagram posts to congratulate her.

“You look radiant and so happy!” Lynne wrote on the post showing several photographs from Brit’s wedding ceremony. “Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special!” she continued. “I am soooo happy for you! I love you!” Jamie Lynn, though she didn’t comment, had also acknowledged her sister’s wedding by liking the post.

As previously mentioned, the “Outta This World” hitmaker tied the knot on Thursday afternoon with a whopping 60 guests in attendance. It’s believed that Britney didn’t want several of her family members at her wedding following their fallout as her conservatorship neared its end, with the Mississippi native later telling fans she wanted to sue her relatives for “abuse.”

After her 13-year court-ordered arrangement was terminated, Britney wrote a personal message thanking every supporter that fought for her freedom, saying, “Good God, I love my fans so much it’s crazy. I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day. Best day ever.”

In June 2021, Britney spoke out against her dad during a hearing for her conservatorship, where she insisted that she never dared to speak out about the trauma she endured under her father’s control, convinced that people wouldn’t believe her if she told them what’s been going on behind closed doors.

“I honestly don’t think anyone would believe me. I thought people would make fun of me. I just want my life back. It’s enough,” she told Superior Court Judge Brenda Penn in a Los Angeles courthouse. “All I would honestly like is to sue my family [and] share my story with the world.”

It’s said that aside from keeping Britney on a strict budget and allegedly forcing her to perform if she wanted to see her children, the singer was also said to have her intimate moments recorded after Jamie reportedly had a security firm place a listening device in her bedroom.
